Yes. As with any procedure or medications, side effects may occur.
Side effects which may occur relating to cannulation include bruising, inflammation or less commonly infection.
Side effects relating to the IV vitamins may include headaches, nausea, abdominal discomfort, muscle cramps or fatigue. These are short-lived and usually only lasts for 2 days. An initial consultation will discuss more in-depth information on the treatment.

Drink plenty of fluids
Please ensure that you drink plenty of fluids prior to your IV drip or blood test. Dehydration can make it difficult to insert a cannula into the vein and may result in the postponement of your service.

Eat food
Please ensure to eat something light before your appointment.

Isolate pets and children
Please ensure that children and pets are not in the same room as your chosen treatment location for safety reasons. Failure to do this may result in the postponement of your service.

Inform us of any current infectious illness
If you have any infectious illness such as diarrhoea and vomiting or fever, sore throat, cough and cold please let us know, your treatment may need to be postponed. Failure to do so may result in loss of deposit.
